Just like every year, our return from the IPM Essen fair, where we displayed Albenga’s flowers, plants and herbs, has been inspiring.
The international showcase for the horticultural and floricultural sectors and the technology that serves them has lived up to our expectations yet again.
Here’s what we brought home to Albenga!
We have recently returned from IPM ESSEN 2019 (read the previous article here), the world’s leading trade fair for the horticultural and floricultural sectors where we displayed flowers, plants and herbs from Albenga.
The large flowery stand that we shared with Mediflora, our long-term partner in Germany, was visited by a significant number of people and solicited lots of public interest.
Flowers, first and foremost our marvellous Albenga Daisies, citrus plants and all other kinds of plants were the centre of attention for four consecutive days.
As always, the Garden Centre professionals were particularly interested in our highly fragrant herbs, from the normal range, through the BIO herbs to the high quality Sunny heRBs branded range.
Meeting up with our clients and suppliers gave us the opportunity, as it has done since 1986, IPM Essen’s inaugural year, to consolidate long standing commercial relationships and acquire new, interesting international contacts.
Our innovations at IPM Essen 2019: the new environmentally friendly “Beejou” Daisy and our project for a new type of ecological plant packaging.
As announced, we took a beautiful novelty to IPM Essen Germany 2019: our “Beejou” Daisy.
“Beejou” is a new daisy, born and bred in Albenga under the Ligurian sun. This daisy is characterised by a natural compactness that results in the use of lower levels of pesticides and helps to respect the environment and protect useful insects. The daisy was greeted by the public with enthusiasm and consequently we will be dedicating a news article exclusively to the “Beejou” Daisy.
We noticed an ever-increasing level of visitors’ interest in our BIO plants, an indication of environmental and health awareness that is destined to become a focal point in people’s lives. On the subject of the “green sector”, we have been talking for quite a while with several loyal clients about the possibility to produce flower and plant pots made form 100% recycled plastic. This will be our new “ecological objective” and we hope to achieve it soon!
